Supporting Australian schools to better understand and respond to School Can’t

KNOTS works alongside schools to support young people experiencing school distress, disengagement, emotional overwhelm and attendance challenges through practical, relationship-based and neuro-affirming approaches.

We understand that school attendance difficulties are rarely just about behaviour or motivation. Many young people experiencing School Can’t are navigating anxiety, nervous system overwhelm, social and emotional challenges, neurodivergence, trauma or a loss of connection and safety within the school environment.

Our role is to work collaboratively with schools to build understanding, strengthen relationships and create practical strategies that support young people to reconnect with learning, wellbeing and belonging.
