Online training for counsellors & therapists supporting School Can’t
Develop confidence in supporting young people experiencing School Can’t through practical, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming professional learning designed specifically for counsellors, therapists, wellbeing practitioners and allied health professionals.
This training focuses on the practical implementation of the ACER-recognised Navigating School Can’t Workbook within therapeutic and support settings. Practitioners are guided through how to safely and effectively use the workbook to help young people explore the underlying factors contributing to school disengagement, build emotional awareness and resilience, strengthen coping strategies and increase their sense of safety, connection and capacity.
Grounded in compassionate, relationship-based practice, the training supports practitioners to integrate the workbook into their existing work with young people and families in a way that feels practical, flexible and clinically relevant.

- Understanding the emotional, relational and nervous system factors connected to School Can’t.
- Practical implementation of the Navigating School Can’t Workbook.
- Supporting young people to explore the “why” behind school distress and disengagement.

Live online training
Training is delivered as a live two-hour online workshop for practitioners across Australia.
Sessions are designed to be practical, engaging and immediately applicable within professional practice. Practitioners are guided through the workbook structure, therapeutic application, implementation strategies and ways to safely support young people through the process.
Following completion of the training, practitioners will feel equipped to integrate the Navigating School Can’t Workbook into their work with young people and families. Suitable for professional development and continuing professional learning.
